Hallowed Crown to stand at Darley

Darley Australia has acquired a 50% stake in G1 Golden Rose winner Hallowed Crown.

“We are delighted to secure a share in Hallowed Crown, particularly as he is a grandson of our champion stallion Street Cry,” Darley’s Henry Plumptre said.  “He is one of Australia’s best young colts and we look forward to racing him on with Mr Cojuangco of Gooree Park Stud.”

Hallowed Crown (3c Street Sense – Crowned Glory by Danehill) was sent for a spell last week by trainers Bart and James Cummings instead of heading to the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on Saturday week.

“The Golden Rose was the goal this spring,” James Cummings said.  “We will do what’s best for the colt and rest him while he’s in good shape.  The stable is looking forward to his return for the autumn carnival.”

Hallowed Crown will continue to race in the red and black colours of Gooree Park before joining Sheikh Mohammed’s stallion roster at the end of his racing career.
