Gerry Harvey has purchased the entire Magic Millions Sales company. “My family and I agreed to acquire the interests of John Singleton and Rob Ferguson to own 100% of Magic Millions,” Harvey said in a statement on Friday.
Harvey’s wife Katie Page-Harvey became a proprietor of Magic Millions ten years ago. She owned 25% of the company and her influence has become more and more apparent over recent years.
Magic Millions managing director Stephen Silk resigned on Friday as a result of the overnight developments. Silk had signed up for the senior role less than six months ago. Long-serving David Chester will resume his role as managing director until a new chief is appointed.
Harvey said it was business as usual after buying the company for an undisclosed figure. “We have a great team at Magic Millions and we are focused on our upcoming yearling sales in Perth, Tasmania and Adelaide as well as the rescheduled QTIS 600 Yearling Sale in April.”
