Hat Trick flyer in France

Former Independent Stallions shuttler Hat Trick launched his stud career on a perfect note with Dabirsim in France on Wednesday.

Dabirsim (2c Hat Trick – Rumored by Royal Academy) bolted in by 10 lengths on debut in the Prix Baroud d’Honneur (1200m) at La Teste de Buch.  He is owned by Simon Springer and cost 30,000 euros out of the 2010 Arqana yearling sale.

Hat Trick is based at Walmac Farm in Kentucky and stood a one-off southern season at Independent Stallions in 2008.  His first Victorian bred progeny are rising two year-olds.

Hat Trick is a son of super sire Sunday Silence and was a G1 winner in Japan and Hong Kong.  He set a Japanese record of 1:32.10s in the Kyoto Mile Championship and then beat the world’s best in the Hong Kong Mile.

Dabirsim is a half brother to High Yield gelding Preferred Yield (LR Turf Paradise Chuck n Luck Stakes) and a pair of Tale of the Cat winners.  Second dam Bright Generation (Rainbow Quest) was a G1 winner of the Oaks d’Italia.

Hat Trick stands for $6,000 fee at Walmac.  He shuttled to South America after that solo stint in Australia.
