Rockhampton stud J4S Equine Nursery, which is at the centre of the latest Hendra Virus scare, had nominated three lots for the Magic Millions Sporthorse Sale on the Gold Coast this Saturday, August 15.

Queensland Primary Industries & Fisheries authorities have quarantined the stud after the death of an Anglo horse that tested positive to Hendra Virus.

J4S, which stands for Just For Satisfaction, has been a regular vendor at Queensland thoroughbred sales in recent years.  It is operated by John and Christine Brady.

Among its draft at the 2009 Magic Millions yearling sales were a Jet Spur filly and a Southern Image colt that both made $24,000.  Last year, a J4S Falvelon filly made $40,000 at the Capricorn yearling sale.

Queensland Racing’s veterinary officer Dr Martin Lenz is currently liaising with Queensland Primary Industries & Fisheries and he will be in QR’s Rockhampton office on today (Tuesday) to provide advice to owners, trainers and vets.
