HIT Sale graduates on a roll for Magic Millions

Graduates of the Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale have continued their winning roll at home and abroad.

Warrior Within (King Cugat) was a $58,000 purchase at the 2007 auction and he demoralised Sunday’s Murwillumbah Cup field.  He strolled clear in the home straight to win by more than five lengths.

A Washpool Lodge graduate, Warrior Within has earned over $106,500 and, judging by the ease of Sunday’s success, it won’t be his last.

HIT Sale graduates continue to take Asia by storm with numerous winners over recent weeks in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and Macau.

No fewer than six winners saluted over the weekend.  The highlight was Hong Kong based three-year-old Eagle Regiment at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Prepared by Manfred Man, Eagle Regiment is a son of Silent Witness’ sire El Moxie and was purchased for $150,000 at the 2009 HIT Sale.  The gelding has raced on six occasions for three wins and is clearly one of the region’s most progressive young gallopers.

Al’s Knight, a $220,000 son of Fastnet Rock, was another impressive winner in Singapore.  And HIT graduates Brisbane, Tequila Sunrise and You Never Know also won in Malaysia.

New Zealand based galloper Master Archie was an impressive winner at just his second start across the Tasman after stints in Australia and Hong Kong.  Earlier in his career, he claimed the Listed Tommy Smith Slipper in Brisbane and four races in Hong Kong

Entries for this year’s edition of the Magic Millions HIT Sale in October are now open.
