Last Saturday’s racing at Flemington went as expected.  The question to come out of the meeting was what to make of Typhoon Tracy?

Sure, the mare has ability and is running sectionals that make her hard to beat.  But I thought she had every chance last Saturday and she again failed to deliver at the short odds.

Speed Gifted has become one of the main chances in the Melbourne Cup after easily winning the last race at Flemington at $3.30.  Listening to Lee Freedman after the race, I got the notion this horse will show us a lot more than we have already seen.
