Cranbourne trainer Enver Jusufovic reckons he’s not flying too high by entering promising filly Iconic Princess for the $70,000 Michael Andrew Farewell Hcp (1400m) at Caulfield this Saturday.

Iconic Princess returned from a nine-month spell to win at Geelong a fortnight ago and the lightly raced filly will be stepping out for just the fourth time this Saturday.

Iconic Princess (3f King Of Prussia – No Fanfare by Mister C.) was injured at her second start at Kyneton last October and she required an extended break to recouperate.  “She’s a nice type and it was a good win at Geelong,” Jusufovic said.  “I wouldn’t under-estimate her on Saturday.”

The filly was bred by Melbourne lawyer Reuben Benkel and he races her under the Footy Racing banner along with a syndicate that includes Bill and Adam Cotter.  

“I like the King of Prussia horses,” Jusufovic explained.  “They’re under-rated and my filly is nothing if not honest.”

Benkel also has the younger half-brother to Iconic Princess on the books with Jusufovic.  “He’s a rising two year-old by Man Of Illusion and is already 100kg heavier than her!  

“He’s been named Man Of Awe and has certainly got ability.  He will need time and I’ve just sent him out for a spell.”

Iconic Princess can close 2010-11 on a winning note for King Of Prussia.  The Greta West stallion is fourth on the Victorian sires’ premiership in the wins category behind Bel Esprit, Bianconi and Dash For Cash.

King Of Prussia (Anabaa) is also just one away from siring his 100th individual winner of his career.  He will stand for a $3,300 (inc gst) fee at Greta West this season.  Man Of Illusion (Encosta de Lago) is available at $4,400 (inc gst).
