Incumbent filly Frolicked scored a brave victory in the Shaw Contracting Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Wednesday evening.
Frolicked (2f Incumbent – Flying Diva by Flying Spur) was sent out a short-priced favourite on the strength of a brilliant debut last month and, despite shin-soreness, was too good for her rivals in Launceston.
“She’s feeling her shins and that makes the win even better,” trainer Graeme McCulloch said. “She wanted to hang a bit and she never does that. It really was a tough win.”
McCulloch stands Incumbent (Choisir) at Grenville Stud. He was a G2 winner of the VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes and has 19 lots catalogued for today’s Tasmanian Magic Millions.
Grenville Stud has 10 of them including a full sister to Frolicked (Lot 48). Her dam Flying Diva was stakes placed in a Tasmanian Guineas and she has already foaled Alfa Bowl winner Kenjorwood (Snippetson).
