Yearlings have started arriving at Newmarket ahead of the 2012 Inglis Sydney Classic Yearling Sale which begins at 1pm on Sunday.
A total of 572 yearlings have been catalogued for the three day sale. Emirates Park heads the vendor list with 16 entries.
“Over half the catalogue will be available for parades by Wednesday afternoon,” Inglis Director Jonathan D’Arcy said. “Among them are the drafts from Goodwood Farm and Kitchwin Hills who sold the Group 1 Classic graduates Manawanui and Hurtle Myrtle.”
Other Classic Group 1 winners graduates in the last twelve months include Ilovethiscity, Sincero, The Verminator and Secret Admirer.
Fully 89% of the yearlings catalogued to go under the hammer are BOBS and BOBS Extra eligible, plus all lots offered are eligible for nomination into the $5million Inglis Race Series, which includes the $250,000 Inglis Classic restricted to Sydney Classic Sale graduates.
Favourite for this year’s $250,000 Inglis Classic, which will be run at Rosehill this Saturday, is the $60,000 purchase Diamond Earth (Choisir). She has won $300,000 in Inglis Race Series prizemoney so far this season thanks to victories in the Inglis Banner and Moonee Valley and Inglis Nursery at Randwick.
