Instinction retires to Eliza Park International

Explosive sprinter Instinction has been secured for stud duties by Eliza Park International.

The first stallion acquisition by Eliza Park under its new banner, Instinction will join the Queensland roster to stand alongside Love Conquers All and Monashee Mountain.

Trained by Mick Price, Instinction proved himself one of Melbourne’s finest and fastest in the LR Hilton Hotels Stakes (1400m) at Flemington as a spring three year-old and followed up with further sprint victories in the LR Zeditave Stakes (1200m) and LR Weekend Hussler Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.

Instinction is by Australia’s champion sire-elect Exceed And Excel out of Encosta de Lago mare, Delago Mist.  He hails from the immediate family of G1 winning sprinter Wanted.

“He’s a terrific addition to our line-up and the right type of horse for Queensland,” Eliza Park International’s Mark Lindsay said.  “He was very fast and is a really good type.  To top it all off, he’s closely related to Wanted whose first crop yearlings sold up to $460,000 at sales this year.”

Instinction will stand at a fee of $5,500 (inc gst).
