Karaka graduates dominate at Kranji

New Zealand Bloodstock enjoyed another successful weekend in Singapore with 6 winners on Sunday night following a blistering win by fellow Karaka graduate Huka Falls (NZ) in Friday night at Kranji.

Huka Falls is a highly promising son of Align and he won an Open Sprint over 1100m in 64.39s which was a fraction outside the record held by fellow Karaka graduate Makkura’s (Falkirk).

Huka Falls is a graduate of the 2011 NZB Ready to Run Sale and has now won 9 of his 13 appearances for former New Zealand trainer Laurie Laxon.

The Ready to Run Sale achieved further success on Sunday night with four of the six NZB graduate winners coming from the 2YO Sale.  Easy Man (Ishiguru) kicked the night off with a comfortable three length victory at Kranji.

Experienced galloper Caiyaya (Colombia) was the second winner for the Ready to Run Sale.  And Wonder General (Occidental Tourist) continued that run with an upset win over his more fancied rivals.

The final race on the night was taken out by debutant Faaltless (Faltaat), a graduate of last year’s Ready to Run Sale.  Other NZB products to win last night were Select Sale graduate Sacred Emblem (Volksraad) while expat Kiwi trainer Bruce Marsh scored with Festival Sale graduate Supernova (Elusive City).

New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2013 Ready to Run Sale will be held on November 19 & 20 with catalogues due to be released late September.
