Keeneland Day 10 – Penultimate session topped by Divine Park

A second crop Divine Park colt made top price of $110,000 on Day 10 of the Keeneland September yearling sale on Thursday.  Consigned by Blake-Albina Thoroughbreds, he was purchased by Cromwell Bloodstock.

Divine Park is a Mr Prospector line horse through Chester House and he won six races including a G1 victory in the 2008 Metropolitan Hcp at Belmont.  Aidrie Stud stands him for a $12,000 fee.

The Kentucky-bred session topper is out of Skip Away mare Window Woman.  She is also the dam of recent G3 Delaware winner Window Boy (Include).  It’s the family of former NZ based sire Sandtrap (Irish River).

A colt by Victorian shuttler Artie Schiller was next best at $90,000.  Purchased by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, his dam Athena’s Gift (Fusaichi Pegasus) is a half-sister to G2 performed sire Rushin’ to Altar (Pulpit).

Keeneland reported 225 horses brought $3.93 million during Thursday’s penultimate session.  The average dropped less than 1% to $17,500 while the median rose 17% to $14,000.
