Paradise Bound led a sedate day’s trade at the Keeneland January Sale on Thursday. The Pulpit mare was offered by Live Oak Plantation and made $110,000 to the bid of Roger Schipke.
Paradise Bound won races at Keeneland and Fair Grounds and is a half-sister to undefeated Aqueduct stakes winner Unbridled Humor (Distorted Humor). Their dam Devotion Unbridled (Unbridled) is a G3 winning half-sister to the dam of Victorian based Brackley Park sire Globetrotter (Street Cry).
Thursday’s figures were down across the board compared to Day 4 of the Keeneland Sale last year including the average which dropped 27% to $8,159. However, with one session remaining, the overall average is up 2.7%.
