Keeneland’s turnover at its 2010 September yearling sale surpassed last year’s total with three sessions still remaining in the 14 day marathon.  Thursday’s trade took gross sales to $192.88 million which surpassed the 2009 total of $191.85 million.

Cumulatively, 2,387 horses have sold for an average of $80,806 and a median of $40,000.  

A filly by Malibu Moon topped Day 11 selling for $95,000 to Eisaman Equine.  Out of the Dixieland Band mare Perdition, the filly is from the family of stakes winners Snow Ridge, Fighting Fantasy and Sweetnorthernsaint.  She was consigned by Gainesway as agent.

Two yearlings brought the day’s second-highest price of $85,000.  Jerry Moss paid $85,000 for a filly by Giacomo out of the Fappiano mare Tatiani.  She’s from the family of G2 Lexington Stakes winner Behindatthebar.

Jerry Romans paid $85,000 for a colt by Mineshaft out of Date Stone (Forty Niner).  The colt is a half-brother to Deputy Warlock, a black-type winner of the Cradle Stakes and Hawthorne Juvenile Stakes.  He was also consigned by Gainesway as agent.
