Machine on a roll at Rosehill

Scream Machine is on track for more black-type after outclassing a field of winter sprinters at Rosehill on Saturday.

A first-crop son of Vinery sire Excites, he was back in Sydney after finishing within two lengths of Spirit Of Boom in the G1 Doomben 10,000 last month.  “He pays his way every preparation,” trainer Jason Coyle said.  “We will stay here now and look at some stakes races coming up.”

Races on the radar are the LR Civic Stakes (1350m) on July 5 and LR Winter Stakes (1400m) on July 19.

Scream Machine (5g Excites – Sevillano by Octagonal) appreciated a massive drop in grade to win the Sydney Markets Limited Hcp (1400m) by over a length on Saturday.  The best of his 6 wins to date has been last year’s LR Wagga Wagga Cup for Queensland doctor Jason Gluch.

Coyle is no stranger to the big-league having prepared Onemorenomore to a Group 1 triumph in the 2009 AJC Champagne Stakes at Randwick.  The Red Ransom colt is a member of the stallion line-up at Vinery.

“I’m thankful Dr Gluch found me,” Coyle said referring to his career after a stint as private-trainer for Patinack Farm.  “He’s a really good owner and he also has a More Than Ready youngster in the stable.”

Scream Machine is a younger half-brother Eagle Farm stakes winning filly Parriwi (Mossman).  Their dam had a Mossman colt at this year’s Gold Coast Magic Millions and he was purchased by Joe O’Neill of Prime Thoroughbreds for $100,000.

Dr Glutch has banked $455,000 courtesy of Scream Machine and the gelding is poised to take over from LR Black Opal Stakes winner Red Excitement ($464,300) as the leading earner for Excites.

Melbourne based Sistine Demon ($414,800) is next after a six-length victory in the G3 Victoria Hcp at his penultimate start.

Excites stands for a service fee of $5,500 (inc gst) at Vinery.
