Vinery champion More Than Ready finished the 2009-10 season with 13 Australian 2YO winners and he added another in Singapore when Market On Open opened his account at Kranji on Friday night.

Market On Open (2c More Than Ready – Time for Bed by Night Shift) was an $85,000 buy from the 2009 Magic Millions 2YO HIT Sale on the Gold Coast.  He is a half brother to five winners including Encosta de Lago’s smart Sydney galloper Gangitano.

Redoute’s Choice topped the Australian 2YO premiership in the winners category with 15 in 2009-10.  Next best were More Than Ready and Stratum (13).

Market On Open was facing the starter for only the second time on Friday night and he had them covered a long way from home to score by more than three lengths.  “He’s up there with some of the better ones in our stable,” trainer Michael Freedman said.  “Market On Open is a classy type and I was glad to see him put his best foot forward.”

His dam Time for Bed is a winning daughter of G1 AJC Queen Elizabeth Randwick Stakes winner Dinky Flyer.  She has a new season juvenile and a new season yearling by Vinery sire Testa Rossa.

Market On Open put the finishing touches on another winning season for 2YO Magic Millions graduates in 2009-10.  They had won 338 races in Australia going into the final day of the season on Saturday.  The highlights includes Star Witness, Military Rose, Motion Pictures, Toorak Toff, Masquerador, Ringa Ringa Rosie and More Than Ready youngster Brightexpectations.
