Te Awamutu trainers Richard Otto and Mark Brooks launched their new training partnership in style when saddling Ourforeignminister to win the ITM Interprovincial at New Plymouth on Saturday.

Ourforeignminister (5g Dubai Destination – Secret Revenue by Magic Of Money) represented King Country in the Interprovincial and he made it 4 wins from 17 starts when holding off the challenges of Kalgoorlie Bomber (Exploding Prospect) and The Muffin Man (Black Tuxedo).

Brooks, 30, joined up with Otto at the start of the new season.  “It’s got us off to a flyer,” said Brooks, a former successful amateur rider and international show jumper.  “We were going to take Ourforeignminister down to Riccarton for the Winter Cup but changed plans when it looked like it might be a really heavy track down there.”

Ourforeignminister is by a former Darley shuttler from a sister to The Right Money (G2 Western Australian Guineas).
