Myboycharlie trial winner at Warwick Farm

Vinery first-season sire Myboycharlie has wasted no time making an impact after his colt Charlie Chopsticks took out the only juvenile trial at Warwick Farm on Friday morning.

The Bjorn Baker trained youngster won an 800m trial in fine fashion from Sovereign Bid.  The runner-up is a brother to G1 winner Regal Cheer.

Charlie Chopsticks is the first foal out of G3 winning King of Kings mare Queen of Queen’s and is the first Australian representative of his sire Myboycharlie who reverse shuttles from Vinery to Haras de Mezeray in France.

Myboycharlie (Danetime) was Champion French 2YO in 2007 and his first crop was well received at the 2012 majors.  His Gold Coast Magic Millions draft returned a 100% clearance rate and averaged over $120,000.  This was over 8.5 times his service fee making Myboycharlie the Sale’s most profitable first season sire.

Myboycharlie repeated that feat at the Inglis Melbourne Premier in March.  His popularity has continued to soar with Black Caviar’s breeder Rick Jamieson (Gilgai Farm) purchasing an interest in the young stallion.

Vinery stands Myboycharlie for a ($8,800 inc gst) service fee.
