NSW visitor Stacks up at Sale

Hawkesbury based colt Upstacker scored a lucrative victory on the road in the $100,000 Inglis Trophy at Sale on Sunday.

Upstacker (3c Strategic – Pihikan by Redoute’s Choice) had won at his home track in April and ventured south after being placed behind Subarc at Rosehill on October 8.

Both his wins have been in Inglis Bonus races and that’s put Joan Pracey in a very good position to take out the $50,000 Trainer Bonus.

Upstacker was an $18,000 buy out of the 2010 Inglis Classic yearling sale and has now earned $133,440.  “We’ve had a lot of confidence in this horse and the Inglis Bonuses scheme is fantastic,” Pracey said.  “He didn’t travel down too well but the club allowed us to gallop him here on Thursday which helped.”

The winner’s connections were also presented a $50,000 Inglis yearling sales voucher from Super VOBIS that can be redeemed on a Super VOBIS qualified yearling at the 2012 Inglis Melbourne yearling sales .

Upstacker is by Darley sire Strategic and is the final foal for Pihikan.  Second dam Crystal Gauntlet (Marscay) is a half-sister to the dam of Poor Judge who won his 14th race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
