Oratorio Outlaw set for WA Guineas

Oratorio has a second Group 2 WA Guineas in his sights with promising galloper Outlaw Pete.

The Trevor Andrews trained gelding was given a short break after a 1600m win at Belmont in August and he will return to action in the LR Belgravia Stakes (1200m) at Ascot on October 18.

Outlaw Pete (3g Oratorio – Toy Of War by Old Spice) was bred and sold by Mungrup Stud at the 2013 Perth Magic Millions.  His dam won up to 2000m at Belmont and her half-sister foaled Melbourne Group 3 winner Under The Eiffel.

Oratorio (Aus) has won the Sunspeed 2YO title four times and he also sired Clueless Angel to win the WA Guineas in 2009.

Besides Outlaw Pete, Andrews trains fellow Oratorio three year-old Palace Intruder who won two in a row at Ascot during the summer months.  Both gallopers are owned Andrews, Ken Gregson, Isaac Cohen, Ross Drage and their wives.

The $400,000 WA Guineas (1600m) is scheduled for Saturday, November 22 at Ascot.

Oratorio is standing for a $16,500 (inc gst) service fee at Mungrup Stud this year.
