Planet Five popular at Perth Autumn Sale

Testa Rossa mare Real Glow and the first foals of Storm Cat sire Planet Five provided the highlights at the Magic Millions Perth Autumn Sale on Sunday.

A two time Pinjarra winner, Real Glow topped the sale at $31,000.  She was offered by Peters Investments and was knocked down to trainer Daniel Pearce.  Overall trade reached $324,000 on 116 lots at an 81% clearance rate.

The first weanlings by Storm Cat’s French based sprinter Planet Five were well received by bidders and his two offerings sold for the day’s second and third highest prices.  His filly out of stakes winning Is it True mare Genuine Girl was purchased by Quanah Park for $25,000.  The colt from the once raced Galileo mare Casual Glance made $20,000 to the bid of Chris Streat.

Planet Five (USA) was a G2 winner of the Prix du Gros Chene (1000m) at Chantilly and he stands at Touchstone Farm in North Dandalup.  Bred by the Niarchos family, he is a son of Breeders Cup Mile winner Six Perfections from the family of Miesque.

Touchstone is standing Planet Five for a discounted fee of $2,200 (inc gst) for mares booked in before July 11.
