Lightly raced mare Pteryon topped the Inglis Sydney Autumn Sale on Friday when she selling to Victorian owner George Yannas for $20,000.
Pteryon (4m Lucky Owners – Sweet Emotion by Marscay) won at Scone and Kembla as a three year-old and bowed out of racing with a Randwick (Kensington) victory in August 2011. Her second dam Heat Of The Moment (Blazing Saddles) was a G1 winner of the AJC Chipping Norton Stakes and STC George Ryder Stakes.
Overall, 94% of the 78 horses offered on Friday were sold with online bidders again very active. The next Inglis sale will be the Melbourne March Sale at Oaklands on Friday, March 16.
