QTIS Collect at Toowoomba

Collector emphasised the value of the Magic Millions QTIS 600 yearling sale at the Toowoomba Cup meeting on Thursday.

Collector (2g Nothing To Lose – Kosciusko Country by Timber Country) finished strongly to win the $150,000 J J Atkins QTIS 2YO Plate (1200m) by a half-length from Outback Grande (Outback Prince) and Mr Favulous (Falvelon).

“I thought he was a good thing,” trainer Robert Bradshaw said even though the youngster started at $16.  “He sat five wide at Sunshine Coast last time and won in a canter.”

Collector was purchased by owner Leigh Wanless for just $7,500 from the draft of Robyn Wise at the 2010 Magic Millions QTIS 600 Yearling Sale.  The two victories have earned connections $118,500.

Collector’s sire Nothing To Lose (USA) is a Nijinsky line stallion and was a G1 winner of the Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland.  The gelding is a younger half-brother to six-time South Korean winner Wanggol (Jet Spur).

Nothing to Lose has 11 lots at the upcoming Magic Millions QTIS 600 Yearling Sale.  Also catalogued in the auction is a full sister to J J Atkins Plate runner-up Outback Grande.

The 2011 Magic Millions QTIS 600 yearling sale will be held at the Gold Coast on April 17 & 18.
