Brisbane juvenile Noisy Ocean continued to build his bank account with an on-pace victory in the $150,000 QTIS 600 Plate at the Sunshine Coast on Friday night.
Noisy Ocean (2g Shovhog – Hepburn Rose by Sir Tristram) was backing up after an Eagle Farm victory last Saturday. “He’s done a great job winning $170,000 in a week,” trainer Bryan Guy said. “Not bad for a horse that cost just $15,000 from Raheen Stud at the Magic Millions.”
Noisy Ocean is a half-brother to four winners and his dam has a yearling filly by Stromberg Carlson and a colt on the ground by Publishing.
Noisy Ocean was first emergency for the recent $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic but failed to gain a start. That could have been a blessing in disguise for connections as he has since notched consecutive wins.
“He will spell now and come back for a winter campaign with races like the Sires’ Produce Stakes and T J Smith in mind,” Guy noted. “I think he’s got a future.”
