Rakti remains at Chatswood Stud

Rakti will remain at Chatswood Stud instead of shuttling back to Ireland later this month.  The Polish Precedent sired was a Group 1 winner of the English Champion Stakes, Prince of Wales’s Stakes, Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and Lockinge Stakes before retiring to stud in 2006.

Rakti is based at the Irish National Stud along with fellow Chatswood shuttler Amadeus Wolf.  He averaged 120 mares in his first three southern seasons and his fee this year was set at $11,000.

Rakti’s oldest European crop are three year-olds and there are 18 winners of 25 races to date topped by Listed winner Carioca.  His first southern crop includes last month’s Te Rapa winner Arakti.
