Present Glow travelled to Tatura for an easy kill on Saturday and the trip went to script with a four length victory in the TAC Only A Little Bit Over Maiden (1000m).
Present Glow (3g Ready’s Image – Bye Bye Tata by Zabeel) is trained by Mark Kavanagh for BC3 Thoroughbreds after making $52,000 at the 2012 Inglis Classic Sale. He was racing second-up at Tatura and the result was never in doubt once he balanced up and booted clear at the top of the straight.
“He was a bit sore after racing first-up at Bendigo earlier this month but he’s pulled up perfect after Saturday,” BC3 Racing Manager Shona Drechsler said on Tuesday. “Kav will keep him ticking over and then look for a race closer to town.”
Ready’s Image sired Present Glow from his first southern book at Lincoln Farm in the Hunter Valley. His NZ bred dam Bye Bye Tata is by Zabeel and second-dam Danebeam (Danehill) is a sister to leading sire Dane Shadow.
Perfect Rebellion (3c Ready’s Image – Topsinga by Danasinga) is another BC3 galloper in work with Kavanagh at Flemington. He was a $100,000 buy for BC3 manager Bill Vlahos at the 2012 Inglis Classic Sale and was originally registered as Move Like Mick before a name change earlier this year.
NZ bred mare Topsinga has been covered by Ready’s Image for the last four years. After Perfect Rebellion, she foaled a colt and two fillies by him at Lincoln Farm.
Ready’s Image (More Than Ready) didn’t shuttle this year. Lincoln Farm owner Nick Posa is standing Arlington (Red Ransom) and Beautiful Crown (Chief’s Crown) and he can be contacted for more details on 0417 903 578.
