Record result for Not A Single Doubt at NZ Sale

Arrowfield sire Not A Single Doubt broke new ground at the NZB 2010 Ready to Run Sale at Karaka on Tuesday.  His gelding from the Bletchingly mare Spring Beauty made $230,000 to the bid of Victorian trainer Lee Hope.

The previous highest price for a Not A Single Doubt was $170,000 for the filly from Volksraad mare Bahira at the 2010 NZ Premier Yearling Sale.

Hope’s gelding is a younger three-quarter brother to Flying Spur gelding Jumbo Gold who has won four races in Hong Kong for trainer Caspar Fownes.

Their dam Spring Beauty is a winning sister to G1 winning mare Wrap Around.  It’s the immediate family of Arrowfield-bred Champion 2YO filly Fashions Afield (Redoute’s Choice).

Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) is enjoying a splendid season with Group winners the calibre of Squamosa and Doubtful Jack in Australia and Always Certain in Singapore.  His other off-shore winners in recent weeks include Castlethorpe (South Africa), Tai Sing Yeh (HK) and Belle de Jeu (NZ).

Not A Single Doubt has sired a total of 74 individual winners of 141 races at a 61% strike-rate.  He stands alongside his own sire Redoute’s Choice at Arrowfield at a $13,750 (inc gst) service fee.
