Redoute’s Choice arrived in France on Wednesday to cover his first northern book at the Aga Khan owned Haras de Bonneval.
The two-time Australian Champion sire is due to serve a limited book of 100 top class mares at the Normandy nursery. The Aga Khan Studs will send a selection of 15 elite broodmares headed by the unbeaten Arc winner Zarkava. She will be joined by last year’s Group 1 winners Shareta and Sagawara.
Other notable Aga Khan mares booked to Redoute’s Choice include the young Group 1 winning mares Rosanara and Daryakana. The dams of Group 1 winners Shalanaya and Vadawina have also been selected to visit the champion sire.
To date, Redoute’s Choice has sired 21 Group 1 winners among 97 stakes winners and currently boasts exceptional lifetime statistics of 76% winners to runners and 12% stakes winners to runners.
His first public appearance in France will be on Sunday, February 3 when he will parade at the Haras de Bonneval open day alongside Group 1 winning sires Sinndar and Siyouni.
