Ridgeview Park releases roster for 2016

Ridgeview Park Stud has announced its service fees with newcomer Onemorenomore heading the five stallions on duty at Muskerry East this year.

The deaths of Bianconi and Dr Doute’s meant Ridgeview Park owners Phil and Fiona Sloane had to revamp the roster and G2 Breeders’ Cup Marathon winner London Bridge is also missing from the advertised line-up.

ONEMORENOMORE was a Group 1 winner of the AJC Champagne Stakes at two and he is now the leading local third-season sire available to Victorian breeders with 36 individual winners of $1.21 million this season.

His chief earner Tonto is a last-start winner of the Amelia Park Hcp (1600m) in Perth for owners Peter Walsh, Colin Hounsell and Colin Crossley.  He was coming off honest efforts in the LR Bunbury Cup (fourth) and LR Pinjarra Cup (second).

Onemorenomore stakes winner Onemorezeta also put the writing on the wall for another feature victory following a half-length second in the Ladies Day Cup at Hawkesbury last Saturday.

SCINTILLO (Fantastic Light) stands his fourth season after a career highlighted by wins in the G1 Gran Criterium and G2 Grand Prix de Chantilly.  He was sold to Victorian owner Len Lucas to be prepared for the 2012 Melbourne Cup but an untimely injury cut him to just two starts in Australia.

BEST CHOICE (Redoute’s Choice) is also getting ready for his fourth book in 2016.  He’s a half-brother to world champion sprinter Silent Witness and won on debut at Canterbury in a career restricted by a strained tendon.

GOLDEN SNAKE (Danzig) needs no introduction to Victorian breeders having covered his first mares here in 2002.  He delivers winners year after year headed by Gilded Venom (G1 Railway Stakes), Antidotes (Brisbane Plate), Hissing Sid (Warrnambool Cup) and Vipera Gold (Sunshine Coast Cup).

AL SAMER (Redoute’s Choice) has amassed over $10 million in progeny prizemoney and he returns to Victoria after a stint in Queensland.  His promising galloper Berisha won the LR Mornington Cup in April to earn a ballot-free entry into this year’s G1 Caulfield Cup.

SCINTILLO – $4,400
BEST CHOICE – $3,300
GOLDEN SNAKE – $3,300
