Sale-topper Fulminate to visit Fiorente

Eliza Park International continued its support for incoming sire Fiorente at the Inglis Spring Sale in Sydney on Friday.

Fiorente (Ger) is assured of a busy spring when he commences stud duties in September.  He is priced at a $17,600 (inc gst) service fee.

The Fiorente Syndicate topped the Inglis Spring Sale with a $125,000 bid for Sydney winning Encosta de Lago mare Fulminate.  She is a half-sister to stakes winner Illuminates and a grand-daughter of Queensland Oaks winner Travel Light.

She was offered straight off the track and is an attractive addition to the large book of mares set to be covered by German-bred winner of the Melbourne Cup & Australian Cup.

“Eliza Park International is supporting Fiorente with some great mares in order to give him the optimal chance of success at stud,” EPI manager Mark Lindsay said.  “There are already 120 booked in.”

The Fiorente Syndicate bought 17 mares on the Magic Millions National at the Gold Coast in June topped by Happy Hussy (Hussonet) for $230,000.

Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria will auction nominations to Fiorente and five other stallions before the Inglis August Sale at Oaklands Junction this Friday, August 22.  Proceeds will help support the local breeding industry through TBV.
