Sea Lord in full Cry

Street Cry gelding Sea Lord has hit the ground running with a running double at Moonee Valley this season.

Sea Lord (5g Street Cry – Dream Lass by Dream Well) scored an all-the-way victory first-up on August 25 and followed up with a narrow win in the LR Chandler MacLeod Stakes (1200m) on Saturday.

The Stephen Brown trained gelding won his first black-type in the LR Darby Munro Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill in March 2011.  He was purchased for $400,000 out of the Seaton Park draft at the NZB 2009 Karaka Premier Sale and has won 5 of his 19 starts for over $270,000 in stakes.

From one of New Zealand’s leading families, Sea Lord’s dam Dream Lass is a half-sister to stakes winners Vigour, Joey Massino and Vincent Mangano.
