See The Stars favoured to stand at the Irish National Stud

THE Irish National Stud has been installed an odds-on favourite to lure champion colt Sea The Stars when he begins his stallion career in 2010.

Owner Christopher Tsui has yet to confirm where Sea The Stars will stand but bookmaker Paddy Power believe it is between three operations.

Favourite at 4-6 is the Irish National Stud, where Sea The Stars was born, 2-1 second favourite is Tsui’s stud, which the owner has yet to set up, and Sheikh Mohammed’s many establishments are a collective 5-2.

However, their has been significant support for the Aga Khan Studs, causing Gilltown Stud to be slashed from 25-1 in 6-1.  Coolmore is at 25-1.

The 2010 service fee for Sea The Stars is also the subject of continuing speculation.  Bookmakers are offering 2-1 it will be under 90,000 euros (AUD 146,880) and 7-4 it will be over 110,000 euros (AUD 179,530).

The 6-4 favourite bracket is between 90,000 and 110,000 euros.

Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) was retired this week after a farewell victory in the Arc de Triomphe.
