Sefton Park update for Inglis Easter Sale

The catalogue for the 2011 Inglis Easter yearling sale has only been online for a few days but already there’s an important black type pedigree update.

Sequalo mare Cariad created a huge impression when a clear winner of the Listed Nudgee Quality at Doomben on Saturday and Sefton Park will offer a Choisir half-brother to her as Lot 47 at Easter.

The colt’s dam Shower Of Steel now has the distinction of being the dam of two horses to race with both being black type winners.  Her first was G3 South African winner Polished Steel (King of Danes).

Shower Of Steel is a half-sister to Steel Lips (Sequalo) who was second in the Listed Gold Coast Goldmarket earlier this month.  He was runner-up to G1 Epsom Hcp winner Captain Sonador who is currently the subject of several offers to stand at stud.

Mill Park will offer a half-sister to Captain Sonador as Lot 417 at Easter.  The filly is by red hot stallion Not A Single Doubt.

The 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale will be held in Sydney from April 5-7.
