Eliza Park International’s exciting sire Squamosa has averaged over $49,000 with his first-crop yearlings and there’s another nice colt from home-base at the VOBIS Gold Sale.
Squamosa was a blindingly fast son of Not A Single Doubt who was unbeaten at two and he also scored a 5 length victory against older horses in the G3 June Stakes at Randwick.
His colt from Imogen Grace (Lot 25) is being sold on behalf of EPI client Mick Maroulis. He’s a younger half-brother to recent winners Magnum Pe I and Red Fire Lady. “He looks a strong running, early type – just like his sire,” EPI’s Philip Marshall said. “Squamosa was a top two year-old and his stock look precocious, too.”
Maroulis has a Squamosa filly on the ground and he bred Imogen Grace back to Moshe in November.
Eliza Park stallions have numerous candidates for the VOBIS Gold raceday at Caulfield this Saturday: If You Will (Moshe) & Carlingford (Magnus) – VOBIS Gold Ingot, Afleet Esprit (Bel Esprit) & Whistle Baby (Magnus) – VOBIS Gold Distaff, Iconic (Bel Esprit), Miss Promiscuity (Magnus) & So Does He (Bel Esprit) – VOBIS Gold Sprint
