Sun shines on Proart

Last-start Malaysian winner Suntzu has complemented the locally-bred strike-rate of Sunspeed sire Proart.

Trained by Frankie Maynard, he scored by a length in the Sapphire Hcp (1200m) at Perak following an earlier win at the same venue in January.  His dam Three Mates (Naturalism) is a half-sister to G2 Perth Cup winner Black Tom.

Proart is also the sire of recent IB Racing winner Patroclus (Singapore) and D’Great Eminence who has won 6 races in Malaysia.  The latter didn’t go down without a fight when placed at Perak last Sunday.

Closer to home, Proart’s promising 3yo Invisible Pro scored at Pinjarra for Simon Miller as did Prozone for David Harrison.  They helped the Balmoral Park sire increase his winning strike-rate to 60% from limited runners.

Invisible Pro was going to double up at Ascot until Tellem We’re Comin arrived in the last stride earlier this month while Prozone’s victory earned him a start in the LR Roberts Stakes.

Proart (Rock Of Gibraltar) has his latest crop of yearlings being educated at Balmoral Park in Bedfordale.  There are shares available in several of them and stud manager Brian Collison can be contacted to arrange an inspection on 0411 055 164.
