The 2011 Inglis Melbourne Autumn yearling sale will be conducted this Sunday and Monday April 17 & 18. With the bulk of the catalogue Super VOBIS qualified it has long been regarded as the value sale of Australia.
At modest prices, successful racehorses like Pompeii Ruler, Grand Journey, Status Symbol, Broadway Harmony, Orbit Express, She’s Got Gears, Secret Flyer and Grand Britannia have graduated from Autumn and this year’s catalogue should ensure that success continues.
Recent Global Sprint Challenge winners Sacred Kingdom, Ultra Fantasy, Starspangledbanner and Black Caviar are all rousing endorsements for the Victorian breeding industry and were purchased as yearlings at the Oaklands Junction sale ring.
This year’s catalogue of 469 yearlings includes yearlings by proven sires Bel Esprit, Bianconi, Choisir, Commands, Hussonet, Lonhro, Red Ransom, Reset and Rock Of Gibraltar, along with sizeable drafts by exciting young stallions Artie Schiller, Churchill Downs, Hard Spun, Nadeem, Purrealist and Written Tycoon.
There are also 32 lots from stakes performed dams and 33 siblings to stakes performers, plus yearlings from young close relations to Sacred Kingdom, Falvelon, More Than Ready, Wonderful World, Gold Trail, Patezza, Linton, Fashions Afield, Rinky Dink, Rock Kingdom and Serious Speed.
All yearlings offered at the 2011 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale are also eligible to be entered into the lucrative Inglis Race Series, which includes the $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate for graduates of this sale.
