Super winner by Rothesay

Glenlogan Park stallion Rothesay registered his first win as a sire at Toowoomba on Saturday evening.

The Tony Gollan trained filly Supersay delivered a very easy victory for the Glenlogan Park sire in the Strathayr Maiden Plate (1050m).  She shot away at the top of the straight and then coasted home to defeat  Polly Parrot (All Bar One) and Faint Blaze (Turffontein).

“She is progressing really well and taking all the right steps,” Gollan said.  “She just toyed with them tonight and was never going to lose.  She’s Magic Millions qualified but we want to do what is best for her long-term.”

Supersay (2f Rothesay – Supriym Story by General Nediym) is closely related to My Destiny, a Listed winner of the 2011 Lough Neagh Stakes at Doomben.  She was a $35,000 buy for Adrenaline Thoroughbreds at the 2014 Magic Millions QTIS Sale.

Rothesay (Fastnet Rock) won the G2 Queensland Guineas and G3 Lord Mayor’s Cup and stands for a $12,100 (inc gst) fee at Glenlogan Park.
