Tango’s Choice, a winner of two of her past three starts, looks set to add another scalp in the Joe Cannizzaro Handicap (1100m) at Morphettville tomorrow (Race 6 at 4.05pm Adelaide time). She was nominated for a straight six sprint on Cup Day but was eliminated when the full field accepted.
Tango’s Choice (4m Redoute’s Choice-La Rumba by Centaine) was an easy two-length winner at the same track and distance three weeks ago and only rises 1.5kg for that win. With the State’s leading hoop Clare Lindop in the saddle she looks extremely tough to beat.
Tango’s Choice is the first foal and winner to date for G3 NZ Eclipse Stakes winning mare La Rumba. Since foaling Tango’s Choice, La Rumba has produced an unraced three-year old filly named Rockin Rumba (Fastnet Rock), a two-year colt by Fastnet Rock and a yearling filly by Holy Roman Emperor.
