NZ bred stallion Thorn Dancer has a new home south of Busselton with Tracey Bannister.
Originally based at Sovereign Stud in WA, he has made the short trip to Boallia Agistment Farm.
Thorn Dancer was trained by Frank Maynard to win at Pinjarra, Belmont and Ascot and he was also runner-up, beaten a head by Clueless Angel, in the G2 WA Guineas.
His sire Thorn Park (Spinning World) was Champion Sire of NZ in 2010-11 and has Group 1 winners Jimmy Choux and Ocean Park at stud across the Tasman. His dam Katie O’Neill (Zabeel) has foaled 7 winners including She Will Be Loved (G2 VRC Edward Manifold Stakes). It’s the immediate family of Group 1 winners All Thrills Too (Hong Kong) and Crossyourheart (NZ).
Thorn Dancer’s sole starter from his first crop – Gibraltar Park – was 5th of 12 in a Northam maiden at her only outing earlier this season.
Broodmare owners should contact Tracey Bannister for further information on bannistertracey@gmail.com or 0400 910 671.
