Time Test to Little Avondale Stud

Group 2 winner Time Test (GB) will shuttle to Little Avondale Stud from the English National Stud.

A Juddmonte Farms homebred, he won a Sandown nursery in August 2014 and graduated to feature victories the following year in the G3 Tercentenary Stakes at Royal Ascot and G2 Joel Stakes at Newmarket.

Kept in training as a four-year-old, Time Test won the G3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes first-up and followed up with a fine third behind Hawkbill in the G1 Coral-Eclipse.

He added a second Group 2 win to his record in the York Stakes, after which he was transferred to America where he finished second in the G1 Manhattan at Belmont and G1 Fourstardave at Santa Anita.

Time Test is one of 147 stakes winners by Darley champion Dubawi and his dam Passage Of Time (Dansili) is a sister to Group 2 winner Father Of Time and Listed winner Continuum and a half-sister to G1 Falmouth Stakes winner Timepiece.

“We are excited to be standing Time Test at Little Avondale,” studmaster Sam Williams said.  “He’s by a champion sire and is an impressive, athletic individual with a very kind eye, however, it was his performance on the track that really caught my attention.

“He had a unique toughness and a super turn of foot.  It’s those credentials that will appeal to breeders in New Zealand.”

Time Test will stand for a $10,000 service fee.
