Trade on Day 2 of the Inglis Easter broodmare sale was highlighted by Princess Farm’s Group 1 winner Allez Wonder.   The daughter of Redoute’s Choice, who is yet to go to stud, sold for $1 million to Patinack Farm.

The seven figure sale helped Wednesday’s second session reach a $9.95 million turnover at an average of $87,355.  

Patinack Farm owner Nathan Tinkler has signed for 17 lots spending more than $3.1 million during the first two sessions of the sale.

Group 1 performed Galileo mare Banc De Fortune sold to James Bester Bloodstock for $800,000 after originally being passed in through the ring.  Bester knows the mare well having originally secured her at the 2005 Inglis Easter yearling sale for $275,000.   Banc De Fortune was sold in foal to Redoute’s Choice.

New Zealand Oaks winner Boundless fetched $700,000 to the bid of Paul Willets.  She was sold carrying a positive test to top New Zealand sire Pins.

Group 3 winning Zabeel mare Bhandara also broke through the half million dollar mark.  She was purchased by Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock with a positive test to Fastnet Rock for $600,000.

“Demand for well-credentialed fillies and mares continues to be very strong” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster.  “Over the years this sale has proven to reward buyers with the dams of champions such as Black Caviar, Sepoy and So You Think.

“They collectively cost less than $200,000 and no doubt there are a few of these bargain mares in this catalogue once again.”

The sale concludes with Thursday’s third session and it includes a Supplementary Catalogue highlighted by G1 Sydney Cup winner Jessicabeel and flying filly Chance Bye.
