1987 Arc de Triomphe winner Trempolino has been pensioned from stud duties by Haras du Mezeray.

Trempolino, 27, began his stallion career at Gainesway Farm in Kentucky and has most recently been based in the Lower Normandy region of France.  Besides the Arc, he was also runner-up to Theatrical in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf.

Trempolino (Sharpen Up) has sired 64 stakes winners including the G1 winners Dernier Empereur, Snow Polina and Lomar Park sire Valixir.

As a broodmare sire, Trempolino is represented by Breeders’ Cup winners Action This Day, Round Pond and Chamberlain Bridge.
