Vinery lifts Kentucky fee for More Than Ready

Vinery has increased More Than Ready’s Kentucky fee from $30,000 to $40,000 for the 2011 northern season.  The rise comes on the back of his Breeders’ Cup triumph earlier this month at Churchill Downs.

His daughter More Than Real won the G2 BC Juvenile Fillies Turf and his son Pluck captured the G2 BC Juvenile Turf.

More Than Ready (Southern Halo) has sired 18 Kentucky bred juvenile winners to date this year.  Besides the Breeders’ Cup winners, he is also the sire of Major Gain (G3 Arlington-Washington Futurity) and Road Ready (LR Golden Gate Lost in the Fog Stakes).

More Than Ready was Champion Australian 2YO sire in 2008 and 2009 and he sired 13 2YO winners in 2010 which was second best behind Redoute’s Choice (15) in the winners’ category.

He heads the Vinery Australia roster at fee of $121,000 (inc gst).

Vinery recently expanded its stallion business into New York by taking over the management of Empire Stud where it already stood Posse and Repent.

Leading North America second-crop sire Purge (Pulpit) will join the roster at the new operation in Hudson, NY.  He is the sire of G1 winner Dixie Emperor and Listed winner Macias.
