Vinery sires feature at Ocala 2YO Sale

A Bernstein colt topped Day 1 of the Ocala Breeders 2YO Sale on Tuesday.

The $300,000 session-topper was equal fastest at the breeze-up session on Saturday covering 200m in 10 seconds.  He is out of Rahy mare Within and was bought by Patrice Miller’s EQB Agency.  Second dam Sister Crown (Danzig) is a sister to Champion racehorse and sire Chief’s Crown.

Day 1 turnover at the Florida sale reached $3.48 million at an average of $21,912.  The clearance rate was 66%.

An Elusive Quality filly was next best on the leader-board at $220,000.  Purchased by Justice Family Racing, she is out of stakes placed mare Di’s Delight (French Deputy).

Justice Racing went back and bought a Leroidesanimaux colt for $150,000.  He is out of Group winner Booly (Apalachee).

Vinery shuttlers Congrats and More Than Ready also figured among the sessions leaders.  A Congrats colt out of Allen’s Ms (Allens’s Prospect) made $175,000 to the bid of James Divito.  The dam is a half sister to Group winner Love of Money.

A More Than Ready colt sold to Patrice Miller for $100,000.  He was foaled by Designatoree (Alysheba) and is a half brother to Group winner Voice of Destiny.

A Corinthian filly that made $130,000 also has a Vinery connection.  She is out of Gala Secreta (Spinning World) who is a half sister to Vinery’s Group winning shuttler Dubleo.

The second and final day of the Ocala June Sale is scheduled for Wednesday.
