Friday night’s South African maiden winner Fantasy Art looks a promising type for Eliza Park International sire Wanted.
Visiting the races for just the second time, the gelding was always in control of the Bollywood @ Greyville Maiden Plate (1200m) to win by more than two lengths. He had taken plenty of improvement from a debut outing last month after losing ground at the start and racing greenly.
Fantasy Art (3g Wanted – Artist Johanna by Festin) is trained by Tony Rivalland for the stable’s major client Mary Lilley. He was a $40,000 buy from Shadow Glen owner Bill Cockram the 2013 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
From Wanted’s first crop, he is out of Argentina-bred Group 2 winner Artist Johanna. She was also successful at Aqueduct and Saratoga after transferring to New York.
Wanted’s Australian-based first crop includes Caulfield winners Rough Justice & Kalabek and last week’s promising Kilmore winner Crinklecut.
Eliza Park International stands Wanted for a $33,000 (inc gst) service fee.
