Baerami Thoroughbreds will stand two new stallions at its Denman property this spring.
In June, Baerami owner Paul Higgins announced G1 winner Mount Nelson (Rock of Gibraltar) would join Danasinga, Murphy’s Blu Boy and California Dane at Baerami.
Baerami added another stallion to the roster this week with the news former Ballydoyle colt Where’s That Tiger has been retired. The Storm Cat horse raced in Ireland, Dubai and he was also in training with Gai Waterhouse when the decision was made to curtail his career.
Where’s That Tiger scored on debut over 1000m at The Curragh for Aidan O’Brien and he was also fourth home in the Listed Aubigny Stakes at Goodwood.
The second phase of Where’s That Tiger’s race career came in the United Arab Emirates with globetrotting South African trainer Mike de Kock. The best of his three runs in the Gulf was a second in the G3 UAE 2000 Guineas.
Transferred to Australia, he won a Rosehill trial but has been retired in time for the 2009 breeding season.
Where’s That Tiger is by Champion North American sire Storm Cat from a sister to former Coolmore shuttler Fusaichi Pegasus.
The profiles of both Storm Cat and Fusaichi Pegasus is sure to enhance the appeal of Where’s That Tiger with broodmare owners. He will stand for a $5,500 (inc gst) service fee.
