Woodside Park Swallows reduced rates

Woodside Park Stud has reduced the service fees for resident stallions Grey Swallow and Econsul this year.

Grey Swallow will be entering his third season at the Tilden based stud in Victoria and, judging from his first foals, the future is very bright for the champion son of Daylami.   Standing last season at a fee of $16,500 Grey Swallow has had his fee cut to $9,900 which is a reduction of 40%.

“Grey Swallow was rated as one of the very best racehorses in the world,” Woodside Park Stud Nominations Manager Mitchell Coffey said.  “He is a son of the world champion racehorse Daylami and possesses a terrific female line tracing back to the hugely influential mare in Best In Show.”

Grey Swallow provides an excellent outcross to Northern Dancer line mares. Judging from first impressions, he certainly has passed on the looks, strength and size to his foals.

Econsul will stand at a fee of $7,700 down from $11,000, a reduction of 30%.

“Econsul is a Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winning son of Pins who is arguably the hottest sire in Australasia at the moment so $7,700 represents terrific value,” Coffey said.

“Breeders have supported him with two good books and his foals are quite impressive individuals, very much in the mould of their sire.”

Both stallions come with a Free Return and services are fully transferable if the mare is sold before foaling.
