Yeats could return to Ascot next month for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on July 25.

There are several other races under consideration for the four-time Ascot Gold Cup winner who could now bow out in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October.  The son of Sadler’s Wells has earned a 25-1 quote for the French feature.

Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O’Brien has confirmed Yeats pulled up in good shape after his historic win last Thursday.  “He seems to be fine since Ascot and there are plenty of options for him,” O’Brien told Racing Post UK.  “Besides the King George, there’s the Goodwood Cup and the Irish St Leger before the Arc.”

Yeats has won one of his three career starts at Longchamp and top-class stayers have traditionally run well in the Arc.  Levmoss won both the Gold Cup and Arc in 1969 while Ardross won the Gold Cup in 1981 and 1982 and finished second in the 1982 Arc.
