Yougivemechills added a positive post-script to Forest View Farm’s Magic Millions Sale results with a tenacious victory in the Mrs Mac’s Hcp (1400m) on Saturday.
Forest View’s Ben and Jo Duncan sold five yearlings for turnover of $507,500 in the Swan Valley and their 2023 graduate Yougivemechills is unbeaten this prep with a running double at Ascot in February. The baldy-faced son of former Darley shuttler Frosted (Tapit) took over in the straight and got the better of Just Leroy (Universal Ruler) close to the post to score by a short-neck for trainer Simon Miller and a boisterous Ladies Syndicate.
“He’s going so good but I had heart in mouth when Lucy (Fiore) took off early but was it a winning move,” stable rep Kelly Kinninmont said. “It’s lovely to see all the ladies here today and Simon agrees he’s effective at this distance so we will go again for another win at 1400m.”
Yougivemechills was bred by the Duncans with Victorian-based Rushton Park owners David and Kayley Johnston and they had bought his dam Garden Of Eden (Blackfriars) for just $20,000 at the 2017 Sydney Inglis Broodmare Sale.
Garden Of Eden is a half-sister to 10-time black-type winner Marasco (Scenic) and their dam Paradise Park (Bletchley Park) won a G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes. She has foaled 7 winners from as many to race and her 2yo Dundeel colt was a $110,000 buy for Victorian trainer Andrew Noblet at the 2025 Perth Magic Millions.
Forest View’s top-selling Swan Valley graduates last week were the $200,000 State of Rest – Rebel Assault colt (Lot 61) and the $200,000 Playing God filly from Sminky Shorts (Lot 80).
The State Of Rest half-brother to G3 Gimcrack Stakes winner Siren Assault (Rich Enuff) was purchased by agent Merrick Staunton for Hong Kong and the Playing God filly is a half-sister to G2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m) winner Super Smink (Super One) and was bought by Damon Gabbedy’s Belmont Bloodstock Agency.
