2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions catalogue now online

The catalogue for the 2010 Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale is now online.  The catalogue consists of 1236 lots to be sold over six action packed sessions.

Starting on Wednesday, January 6 – the Magic Millions Yearling Sale will bring thousands of industry participants and thoroughbred enthusiasts to the Gold Coast.

A filly by former Magic Millions graduate Testa Rossa from leading Queensland nursery Rosari Farm will begin proceedings as Lot 1.  She is the second foal of an unraced Align mare who is a half sister to stakes performers Pricked, Acupuncture and Fluffy Duck.

Well over 140 different sires are represented including Anabaa, Commands, Dehere, Encosta de Lago, Exceed and Excel, Flying Spur, Fusaichi Pegasus, General Nediym, Hussonet, More Than Ready, Pins, Redoute’s Choice, Rock of Gibraltar, Stravinsky and Tale of the Cat.

Plenty of excitement will surround the initial offerings by first season sires including Ad Valorem, Alert, All Bar One, Artie Schiller, Aussie Rules, Bel Danoro, California Dane, Churchill Downs, Darci Brahma, Econsul, Excites, Fast ‘n’ Famous, Get Square, Gonski, Holy Roman Emperor, Hotel Grand, Nadeem, Outback Prince, Pendragon, Red Dazzler, Strada and Written Tycoon.

Yearlings catalogued include (at least) half relations to the Group 1 winning gallopers Barkada, Desert Eagle, Eremein, Hasna, Headway, In Top Swing, La Montagna, Lotteria, Phelan Ready, Redoute’s Dancer, Regimental Gal, Seventh Rock, Spark of Life, The Heckler, Universal Prince, Universal Queen and Weekend Hussler.

There are also youngsters from stakes winning mares like Arborea, Covertly, Ha Ha, Hula Angel, La Baraka, Mon Mekki, Pharein, Regimental Gal, She’s a Meanie, Shizu, Ateates, Halibery, Magic Music, Ugachaka, Gold Lottey, Brief Embrace, Leone Chiara and Ain’t Seen Nothin’.

Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester said the catalogue has an outstanding selection of youngsters – coming from vendors around Australia and also New Zealand.  “Prospective buyers will be impressed with what they see when they inspect the catalogue,” Chester commented.  “Graduates of this sale continue to excel on tracks in Australia and also overseas.”
